Big blue - The Big Blue House B & BThe Big Blue House Bed & Breakfast at 103 Garnet Road in Westmere has long been big, blue and a local landmark. Now it is also cool. A recent repaint of the big blue house in its iconic blue was completed using Resene Sonyx 101 CoolColour™ tinted to Resene Crescendo (deep blue) complemented by woodwork trims and joinery in Resene Enamacryl gloss waterborne enamel white. Resene CoolColour technology is designed to reflect more of the sun’s energy than a standard colour, reducing the heat buildup in the coating and substrate and reducing heat transference inside. And to add to the ‘cool’ rating, guests can dine by the pool, chill out in the comfortable rooms or sit back and enjoy some quality homestyle cooking.
