Cool impact - Jennian Homes Nelson office

Keen to make a striking first impression, Resene Tuna (resolute grey) was selected for the new Jennian Homes offices in Nelson. Deep and dark in hue there was just one drawback. The relentless heat of the Nelson sun combined with standard Resene Tuna would create a suntrap soaking in copious heat, causing stress on the substrate and coating and warming the building. To mitigate this risk Resene Tuna was tinted into Resene AquaShield CoolColour™. Resene CoolColour technology is designed to reflect much more of the sun's energy than a standard colour which reduces heat absorption.

The office site is in close proximity to a busy highway, which is great for exposure but brings with it traffic grime and dust. Resene AquaShield provides an ideal solution, combining the water repellent properties of silicones with a special surface micro-structure which considerably reduces the contact area for water and dirt. Dirt particles adhere lightly and are more easily carried away by rain, keeping the paint finish looking its best for longer.

Inside a soothing modern palette of Resene Zylone Sheen tinted to Resene Half Truffle (beige) is complemented by ceilings in Resene Double Sea Fog (greyed white). Striking accents of Resene Jennian Homes Bright Red and Resene Truffle (soft warm beige) on feature walls complete the look.
