Seeing red - Spring Hill offices
Bold Resene Guardsman Red feature walls provide a focal point in new offices in Spring Hill, Brisbane. Interior broadwall areas were coated with Resene Lumbersider for a durable satin acrylic finish, providing a neutral backdrop for the display of bold eyecatching artwork. Attention is diverted towards feature walls and doors by playing on the stark contrast between the neutral wall space and the bold and sparkly feature areas.

Feature doors were created using Resene Enamacryl Metallic topcoated with a protective glaze coat of Resene Aquaclear to maximise durability in the high contact situation. The Resene Guardsman Red feature walls were created at speed using a two coat system of Resene Lumbersider satin acrylic.

The simple two coat Lumbersider system certainly impressed the applicator. While the initial paint cost was higher, the two coat coverage resulted in a lower total project cost by obviating the need to apply the third coat specified by other manufacturers.
