Slow strip

It took two years to refurbish the 1960's style living room at Nikki Thompson's home, most of which was spent stripping the wallpaper! Once the slow task of stripping six layers of wallpaper, including two that had been painted over had been completed, the once grey walled room, with mustard shag pile carpeting and multi-coloured curtains was modernised with Resene Dutch White walls and a Resene Cove Grey fireplace.

With dual features of a stunning view over Johnsonville and a once brick but now replastered fireplace, Nikki was careful to select a colour palette that would enhance the fireplace feature without detracting from the main focus of the room - the panoramic view over the suburb.
