A sanctuary

In 2007 the Lewis family undertook a major renovation/rebuild of their home. They live in a fantastic neighbourhood with a great rural outlook hence their decision to renovate rather than move.

Apart from the major building work they have undertaken a lot of the work themselves including all the interior/exterior painting. They have always used Resene paints and enjoyed choosing their new colour scheme. They chose Resene Half Fossil as their main theme, which gave them a good base to work with the other stronger colours and great scope to change their furnishings at whim with bright cushions etc in whatever colour they choose.

Each of the boys stamped their individuality on their own room. They used lovely fresh Resene Ying Yang in the laundry and guest bathroom. The interior of the home was finished in late 2007, but they are now completing the last of the exterior painting in Resene Craigieburn. Outside the Resene Craigieburn is joined by Resene Double Arrowtown, with Resene Drought complementing the interior and Resene Beatnik and Resene Cargo on feature walls. This has been a huge undertaking but has been well worth it. With increased space and peaceful tones their home is their sanctuary.
