Colour galore

When choosing the paint for their new home, the Hodge family wanted plenty of colour throughout the rooms with the emphasis on warmth both inside and out.

They used feature walls to tie together the lounge, family, dining and kitchen. The extra kitchen colour blended in with the kitchen features. Plum coloured paua tiles highlight the paint in the ensuite and main bedroom and natural coloured paua tiles highlight the paint in the main bathroom and toilet.

The children were not forgotten with each room extending to part of their personality. Their son has a Resene Fairground room with the solar system on his wall with a rocket and stars under his window. Their youngest daughter has a Resene Sugar And Spice room with butterflies and birds on their wall with a cat watching a bird through flowers under their window.

Other colours used throughout their home are: Resene Half Drought on main internal walls, Resene Drought on internal doors, Resene Eighth Drought on ceilings, window frames, door frames and exteriors, Resene Moroccan Spice on feature walls in dining, lounge and family and the kitchen splashback, Resene Wine Berry in the main bedroom and ensuite, Resene Atoll in the main bathroom and toilet and Resene Super Sonic in the other bedroom. The end result is plenty of colour, just as they wanted.
