Altex Coatings, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high performance industrial and marine coatings. Under the brand Carboline, with exclusive manufacturing, marketing and support, Altex operates throughout Australasia and the Pacific Island region.
As a Carboline Sales Representative key responsibilities include but are not limited to, calling on prospective and existing industrial customers including coatings contractors, fabricators, engineering firms and industry related owners. Being responsible for maintaining our existing business, and growing and developing new business in the Victoria State for heavy duty industrial and maintenance coatings market, the ideal candidate will be familiar with industrial markets such as Petrochemical, Wastewater, Oil & Gas Service Companies and Equipment Manufacturers.
We seek someone who has a proven track record in developing new business and market strategies.
Based in Victoria you will report directly to the Sales Manager Australasia, but autonomy will be given to the right applicant. The remuneration package is dependent upon level of experience and will include a motor vehicle and mobile phone.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
• A record of achieving sales growth in the heavy duty protective coatings market
• A proven track record in developing new business.
• A proven track record in client account management.
• A willingness to be proactive in a hands-on sales role
• Practical, and be able demonstrate good technical skills within the sales process.
• Experience in working in a competitive market.
• Excellent oral and written skills.
• Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail
• Good skills and knowledge using Microsoft Office programs.
